Roy Hilton - Training Manager
Roy trained as a chef and spent the first 20 years of his career in the hospitality industry working in various restaurants and cafes throughout Auckland. He then spent a further 10 years as a hospitality tutor in a South Auckland PTE training people from the local community.
An opportunity to assist disabled Aucklanders into employment enabled him to have a career change and join the Elevator group in the supported employment division - assisting and supporting people in open employment.
Working with a group of 200 plus employees in Altus Enterprise division gives Roy the opportunity to continue working with and helping people to reach their full potential through ongoing training and development based on work and social skills.
As bit of petrol head Roy enjoys working on and racing his 1965 Mustang, strictly on the race track that is, along with attending Hot Rod shows and Speedway events throughout the summer months. Overseas travel also sees him attend international events and an opportunity to spend some more money on the car! |

Link Group
The Link group is a group of elected Altus employees who represent the interests of the wider team. The elections are held annually in November and the link group members serve on the group for a period of 12 months.
The group meets monthly with leadership team and raises any concerns that they or the wider team are having. It is an open forum where there is robust discussion about the future and how we can best meet the needs of our customers - there is always some great debate and often some great ideas come from the forum which are then implemented. |
