Air New Zealand has been working with Altus for over 25 years. The relationship began when we identified the need to have a partner refurbish our headsets close to our base at Auckland Airport. Altus met all of the criteria and we have enjoyed a great relationship since 1986.
Air New Zealand prides itself on our service and creating a genuine Kiwi experience for our customers. We focus our resources on delivering to this promise and we identified that working with Altus to refurbish our headsets allowed us to concentrate on the other parts of the in-flight experience which have a greater impact on our customer’s enjoyment of their journey with us.
The Altus team does an incredible job of refurbishing 12,000 headsets per day and managing our stock levels for extended holiday periods.
Altus are also a huge support to us when we need special one-off jobs done. An example of this was the launch of Air Zealand’s 777-300s. Altus was on hand to assist us with multiple challenges including:
• Preparation of the Skycouch mattresses
• Fitting mattress with fitted sheet, top sheets and wrapping the finished item for in-flight storage.
• Review of options for shrink and vacuum packing other in-flight cabin items.
By focusing on what is core to us, Air New Zealand had gone from strength to strength over the years - culminating in us winning the Air Transport World 2012 World Airline of the year award. Partnering with organisations like Altus allows us to focus on our competitive advantage.
Altus continue to deliver for us and we are very happy with the relationship we hold.
